"Esta iglesia fue fundada en 967 por las familias patricias de Ghisi, Adoldi y Briosi. Originalmente modesta construcción de madera, tras un incendio en 1150, fue reconstruida en piedra y convertida en iglesia parroquial.
El gobierno napoleónico unió la parroquia a la de San Simeone Piccolo.
El piso interior parece haber sido levantado después de que se prosiguieran los entierros aquí durante la plaga de 1630 .
La iglesia actual tiene una fachada neoclásica sencilla . El interior fue reconstruido a principios del siglo XVIII por Domenico Margutti .
En el interior, a la derecha de la entrada, hay una Presentación en el Templo con retratos de donantes de Jacopo Palma el Joven .
En el segundo altar de la nave izquierda hay una Última Cena de Tintoretto La Anunciación , anteriormente atribuida a Palma el Joven, es hoy reconocida como obra del pintor Blanc. "

"This church was founded in 967 by the patrician families of Ghisi, Adoldi and Briosi. Originally a modest wooden construction, after a fire in 1150, it was rebuilt in stone and converted into a parish church.
The Napoleonic government united the parish to that of San Simeone Piccolo.
The interior floor appears to have been raised after burials continued here during the 1630 plague.
The current church has a simple neoclassical façade. The interior was rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century by Domenico Margutti.
Inside, to the right of the entrance, is a Presentation in the Temple with donor portraits by Jacopo Palma the Younger.
In the second altar of the left nave there is a Last Supper by Tintoretto The Annunciation, formerly attributed to Palma the Younger, is today recognized as the work of the Blanc painter."
