Marker Text:

1116 North Fifth Street
(c. 1940) Tutorial Revival cottage. Popular suburban style in the 1920's - 1940's, yet there are only a few examples in Frenchtown. 1116 N. Fifth is a solid masonry, 1½ story with a steeply pitched, cross gabled roof, typical of this style. Also characteristic are the accent windows with diamond shaped leading and the enclosed stoop with rounded doorway.
