[FIN] Rotaryklubb Mariehamn on vuonna 2005 rakennuttanut tämän pooki rakennuksen. Kyseessä on jäljennös Kobba Klintarilla olleesta pookista 60-luvulta.
Pyramidimaisen punaisen rakennuksen huipulla on tynnyri, jossa on Rotary tunnus. Rakennuksen sisällä on museoituna vanhoja veneitä.
Mikäs on pooki?

[EN] Rotary club Mariehamn has built this pooki building in 2005. It is a copy of the pooki Kobba Klintari had from the 60s.
At the top of the pyramid-shaped red building is a barrel with the Rotary emblem. There are old boats in the museum inside the building.
The maritime quarter, which this building belongs to, also contains other former maritime buildings and also a small museum.
What is pooki? According Finnish Wikipedia: "A beacon or pook (Swedish: båk, känningsbåk) is an optical navigational aid. The emblematic lighthouse does not have a light device, i.e. a sector light, but it is an unilluminated structure that is only clearly visible during daylight hours. Signal beacons were built to guide ships to the fairway, to indicate the pilot's meeting place and to facilitate positioning." (
