This tower located on the Cerro de San Cristóbal de Estepa (Seville) was built in the 13th century (Almohad period) and apparently in its day it was attached to the wall, although it is not known if it was an albarrana tower attached to the main wall or was part of a second line of defense.

In the Torre Ochavada de Estepa two parts can be distinguished. The first, the Almohad tower as such, and the second, the portico attached later. It has an octagonal plan, with an Arabic tile roof and a 19th century neoclassical portico.

It was used as a mausoleum until 1968, at which time the Cerro de San Cristóbal stopped functioning as a cemetery.

It is currently used as a tourist information point between October 12 and December 23, being open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For any questions during the rest of the year you can call 955 127 717.
