This dated cornerstone shows that the church called Our Lady of the Scapular Parish was built in 1915 at 976 Pope John Paul II Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192. When the church was built then it was known as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic and was a personal parish that specifically ministers to Polish immigrants and those of Polish descent. Due to consolidation of parishes in the Detroit area the Mt. Carmel parish merged with St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and became the new Our Lady of the Scapular Parish in 2013.

There is a second cornerstone next to the 1915 as this was from the original Mt. Carmel Church used first by the parish in a different building built in 1899.
