St Peter's Church located on Earle Street in Crewe is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Nantwich, the archdeaconry of Macclesfield, and the diocese of Chester.
Its benefice is combined with that of All Saints and St Paul, Crewe.
St Peter's began as a prefabricated mission church to St Paul's, Crewe, in 1894. The structure was moved and re-erected elsewhere in 1912, and was dedicated to All Saints the following year.
The present church was designed by the architects John Brooke and C. E. Elcock. The building of the church began in 1914 but the construction was delayed because of funding problems caused by the First World War. It was finally completed in 1923 and was dedicated on 5th May 1923.

The following news article about the church by Rhiannon Hilton
appeared in The Crewe Chronicle on 26th June 2013, and reads as follows;
"Crewe church which survived bomb damage celebrates 100th anniversaryA CREWE church which survived bomb damage during the Second World War is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
St Peter’s Church on Earle Street is holding an open day and barbecue to mark the occasion on what will be the ‘feast of St Peter’ – Saturday, June 29.
The current church building replaced a corrugated iron mission church erected on the site in 1894.
The foundation stone was laid in June 1913, but work was interrupted by the First World War and the building was not opened until May 1923.
It survived bomb damage during the Second World War and today serves the community around Queen Street and Hungerford Road.
The Rev Steve Clapham said: “We’re praying for good weather for our outdoor barbecue and drinks, and we are hoping that lots of our friends and neighbours will stop by to say happy birthday and to look around the church. It’s a beautiful building once you get inside, with a light and airy atmosphere – one of the real hidden gems in Crewe.”
The open day is from 10am-4pm and includes a barbecue, artwork displays, refreshments and organ recitals from visiting musicians."
