"Aljibe ubicado a extramuros de la Alcazaba Qadima del Albaicín, junto a la puerta de los Estandartes o Bab-al-Bunud, de la que se conserva hoy una de las torres de estribo. Su otra denominación, aljibe de San Agustín se debe al recuerdo del desaparecido convento de agustinos descalzos, cuyo solar hoy ocupan varios cármenes aledaños. El aljibe, con 21 metros cúbicos de capacidad, tiene una planta en forma de T, con una nave rectangular cubierta mediante bóveda esquifada, de cuyo centro sale transversalmente un pasillo abovedado que enlaza con la boca del aljibe. La portada, conformada como una rosca de ladrillo de medio cañón, con el pilar anejo, es obra moderna fruto de una restauración realizada en 1943."
