"Snitch was a real-life German Shepard belonging to Bob Lane and his 10-year old son Bruce in Blooming Grove. Snitch served as an U.S. Army K-9 in the European Theater during World War II. In March of 1942, the Lane family volunteered their dog to the Army's war effort. Snitch served until the end of the war in Europe in 1945 and then returned home to the Lanes."
