While in Finland we enjoyed the fantastic winter wonderland. The walk from down in the valley all the way up the last "Fell" is magical, especially with the meter snow we had.

You can park your car and also buy some refreshments in the small grocery shop. There are several ways to get to the top of the fell.
About the area"/ fell:
"Iso-Syöte is the southernmost fell in Finland, adjacent to the Syöte National Park that is named after the fell. Located approximately 150 kilometres (90 mi) from the Arctic Circle, Syöte is Finland's southernmost fell region, and it also happens to be the Finnish region that gets the most snow. The blanket of snow covering the trees and landscape transforms nature into a fairy tale land. Travelling resort consists of two fells and skiing centers, namely Iso-Syöte and Pikku-Syöte."

I would recommend you use the paths when doing this track in winter time. The snow can be very deep and it will take a long time to get to the top. Furthermore, there is not a lot of day light during the winter. Several of the paths are lighted.
At the top of the hill, there is a restaurant/hotel. Try the Glogi hot drink (

The total distance is about 4 kilometers. Knowing you are going up and down the hill (probably with snow), expect it to take about 2 / 2.5 hours for this hike. In geocaching terms: during Summer T 2.5 during Winter T 3.5/4
