The Newcastle Borough Mid-week Bowling League is the first mixed crown green bowling league in North Staffordshire.
The Newcastle League was formed in 1984 for clubs from the Newcastle Under Lyme area. The first season consisted of 10 teams and since that time the league has grown to incorporate teams from Stoke on Trent and South Cheshire.
