"One of the nation's fastest-growing fast-food chains is opening its first store in Northern California.

On Monday, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is welcoming customers in Manteca, and the company has plans to add more locations over the next few months.

People starting lining up at the East Yosemite Avenue location in Manteca as early as 2 a.m. By 6 a.m., there were already more than 100 people in line.

A drawing took place, and 20 people were given certificates for free chicken fingers for a year.

Raising Cane's has locations in Reno and Southern California. The fast-food chain is expanding, with some 30 restaurants planned for our region. Restaurants will open in Elk Grove, Stockton and Sacramento.

People in line who had tried the chicken say they are excited a location is finally opening in Manteca.

The fast-food restaurant with a double kitchen is bringing more than 180 jobs to Manteca. Managers say they are still hiring." (visit link)
