"The Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC), in collaboration with the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ, today highlighted the reopening of one of the busiest bus stations, the Place Québec, now known as the “Station colline Parlementaire”.
From the outset, the President of the RTC, Rémy Normand, said he was very pleased with the participation of the Real Estate Fund, but also for the growing interest of Quebec City companies in developing public transport. “There are increasing participation and promotion, particularly by working together to build pleasant and comfortable waiting stations for public transport users, including an increasing number of workers. They see it as an advantage, that is certain,” he says.
A temperate station with modern equipment
The new station will appeal to the workers of Place Québec and the Parliament Hill who will be happy to enjoy a temperate place offering much more space (20 meters2) than before, a digital information screen in addition to WiFi access. The station is also equipped with surveillance cameras and a door with automatic opening to promote universal accessibility.
The construction of this new station required an investment of EUR 665,300. It should be mentioned that the Quebec Department of Transportation grants of 365,645 euros through the Program d’aide aux capitals en transport public of the Société de financement des infrastructures local du Québec (SOFIL)."
