Judenverfolgung
This memorial plaque on the "Marcushaus" commemorates the Jewish residents of Freising who emigrated after 1933 due to the consequences of the economic boycott, increasing disenfranchisement and reprisals, have committed suicide or were murdered by the Nazis in concentration camps. Of the Jewish citizens of Freising, only Hildegard Lewin and Dr Martin Holzer survived.
The (translated) inscription of the plaque reads:
In memory of Marcus Lewin,
the owner of this house,
and the Holzer, Krell,
Neuburger and Schülein families,
all of whom were victims
of the National Socialist
persecution of Jews
