"El Monumento a Miquel Biada es una obra del municipio de Mataró ( Maresme ) incluida en el Inventario del Patrimonio Arquitectónico de Cataluña .
Ubicado en la plazoleta de la estación, inaugurado en 1948 con motivo de las fiestas del primer centenario del primer tren del Estado. Es obra del escultor J. Ros Bofarull , autor de las imágenes de la Virgen María y de las Santas Juliana y Semproniana del altar mayor de la Basílica Parroquial de Santa María , y representa a Mercurio sobre una rueda, símbolo del nuevo medio de transporte. En la base se encuentra un medallón que reproduce el perfil del impulsor del ferrocarril y las fechas de conmemoración del centenario."

"The Monument to Miquel Biada is a work of the municipality of Mataró (Maresme) included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
Located in the station square, inaugurated in 1948 on the occasion of the festivities of the first centenary of the first train in the State. It is the work of the sculptor J. Ros Bofarull, author of the images of the Virgin Mary and Saints Juliana and Semproniana on the main altar of the Parish Basilica of Saint Mary, and represents Mercury on a wheel, a symbol of the new means of transportation. At the base there is a medallion that reproduces the profile of the railroad's driver and the dates of the centenary commemoration."
