"The A Ponte neighborhood has a new multi-game park to promote outdoor sports.
The work, carried out by the Department of the Environment, allowed the complete remodeling of the premises located next to the Pontine civic center, on Eulogio Gómez Franqueira street.
The facilities, which occupy an area of ??more than 1,000 square meters, are equipped with goals and boards for playing sports such as soccer and basketball. In addition, it has been provided with a state-of-the-art grass floor for safe sports practice, and anti-vandal elements have been incorporated into the entire facility to guarantee its conservation. All this has meant an investment of almost 44,000 euros.
This work is added to the recently completed one in the park on Jesús Gil Street, in the Barrocás neighborhood. Both are part of the set of ten actions that the Department of the Environment will carry out in the city's neighborhoods, with an investment of 500,000 euros, to encourage the practice of outdoor sports among the people of Ourense."
