"La construction du Vieux quai de Roscoff a commencé au milieu du 16e siècle pour s'achever au milieu du 18e siècle.

Trois embrasures et des latrines en bretèche figurent sur la représentation du port de Roscoff au 18e siècle, elles pourraient dater du 17e siècle ou du début du 18e siècle.

L’embrasure du Vieux quai de Roscoff (n° 2) a été débouchée en 2004 et une pièce d’artillerie provenant de l’arsenal de Cherbourg a été mise en place à cet emplacement après l'intervention de l'amiral Miguet. L'affût de marine a été reconstitué par les services municipaux de Roscoff (Patrick Saout, Alain Kerirzin et Pascal Velly) d’après les plans communiqués par Nathalie Jezequel de la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie qui travaillait également à la valorisation du Château du Taureau à Plouezoc’h." The embrasure of the Old Quai de Roscoff (No. 2) was unblocked in 2004 and an artillery piece from the Cherbourg arsenal was placed in this location after the intervention of Admiral Miguet.
