This life-sized white marble statue of Jesus Christ is a central feature of Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Christ is depicted standing, wearing flowing robes, and with hands outstretched. Unfortunately, a few of the fingers on each hand have broken off. The marble base has three tiers, and is adorned with the text of Matthew 11:28.

Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity. Most Christians believe he is the incarnation of God the Son and the awaited Messiah (the Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament. Christian doctrine holds that Jesus performed many miracles, was baptized by John, ministered and preached among the people of Israel for three years, was tried and executed by crucifixion so that his death could serve as an atonement for sin, was raised from the dead after three days, and ascended into Heaven, from where He will one day return.
