Labná is one of the world's most beautiful archaeological sites, and still preserves the vast majority of the buildings' decorative features: the Palace, the Viewpoint and the Arch are the most remarkable constructions.

Labná es un yacimiento arqueológico de la civilización maya en el estado de Yucatán, México.

Labná, significa en lengua maya Lab: viejo, ruin, abandonado; Nah; casa. Casa vieja o abandonada. Este sitio ha sido motivo de atención por su mundialmente conocido arco, de notable perfección y fina ornamentación.

Labná está en el sudoeste del estado Yucatán al sur de Uxmal aproximadamente a 29 km del mismo; formando parte de la denominada zona Puuc.

Dentro del sitio arqueológico podemos encontrar un palacio (El Palacio) de dos pisos. Con una longitud de 120 metros, es uno de los edificios más grandes en la montañosa región Puuc. Desde El Palacio, hay un sacbé, un camino ceremonial de piedra, que llega hasta un arco elaboradamente decorado (El Arco). Esta estructura tiene una anchura de 3 metros y una altura de 6 metros. Los relieves están en condiciones buenas. Al lado del Arco se erige El Mirador, que es un templo construido sobre una pirámide.

La zona es relativamente pequeña. Se estima que la ciudad tuvo una extensión de 2,2 km² y se ha calculado que pudo alojar una población de 3000 habitantes o quizá un poco más.

El apogeo de Labná data de entre los años 600 - 900 d. C.

Labná is an archaeological site of the Maya civilization in the state of Yucatán, Mexico.

Labná, means in Mayan language Lab: old, ruinous, abandoned; Nah; house. Old or abandoned house. This site has been the focus of attention for its world-renowned arch, of remarkable perfection and fine ornamentation.

Labná is located in the southwest of the state of Yucatán to the south of Uxmal, approximately 29 km from it, forming part of the so-called Puuc zone.

Inside the archaeological site we can find a palace (El Palacio) of two floors. With a length of 120 meters, it is one of the largest buildings in the mountainous Puuc region. From El Palacio, there is a sacbé, a ceremonial stone pathway, which leads to an elaborately decorated arch (El Arco). This structure is 3 meters wide and 6 meters high. The reliefs are in good condition. Next to the Arch stands El Mirador, which is a temple built on top of a pyramid.

The area is relatively small. It is estimated that the city had an extension of 2.2 km² and it has been calculated that it could have lodged a population of 3000 inhabitants or perhaps a little more.

The apogee of Labna dates from 600 - 900 AD.
