The viewpoint is a pyramid that has a temple on it that stands out for its great cresting, in which the supports that maintained the stucco decorations can be appreciated. It is located, the pyramid, inside a group of buildings that form two inner patios. The access to the temple is made by means of a stairway that leaves from one of them (today only the remains of part of its sides are left). In the temple there are four rooms and another one at the end of the staircase.

El Mirador

Sign

This building is a pyramidal tempio with a little more than 20 m. high, which closes the north side of an elevated courtyard. The upper part is a four-chambered structure with a cresting resting directly on the front wall, although only the west side of it is preserved. The architectural style of the building is Early Puuc, as well as that of a room from an earlier construction period, located at the front, between the top of the pyramidal foundation and the floor of the elevated patio. The crestería with openings, elaborated with rough stones, was decorated with modeled figures of stucco in high and low relief, as well as in bulk, fastened by means of stone tenons. The anterior part of a sculpture of human form is conserved, embedded in the southwest corner. The descriptions of visitors of the last century indicate the presence of decorative elements, now destroyed, such as two ball players and a large figure with a plume sitting directly above the central access.
