Located in Hawthorne, Florida at 21895 65th Avenue on the southwest corner at the intersection with SE 219th Terrace is one of the City of Hawthorne's water towers. This tower was built in 2019 and is part of a 1.5 million dollar grant to upgrade the city's water lines and replace the previous water tower located on SE 67th Place that was built in the 1920's.
The tower was originally painted blue and had 'City of Hawthorne' painted in white letters. In early 2024 it was repainted in tan and the lettering was changed to' Hawthorne - City of Champions' in honor of the Hawthorne's high school girls basketball team which won the Class 1A State Championships.
