Pennsylvania State University has locations throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania as satellite campuses for the main University in State College, PA. This satellite campus is located in Berks County, near the city of Reading.

This small solar array provides solar power on a small scale to the Gaige Technology and Business Innovations building, primarily as a teaching tool for engineering students. This educational project was a combined effort of industry and university partners to explore the use of low-voltage DC (24 Volt) indoor power distribution for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential applications. RER Energy Group supplied the array.
