Al lado derecho del altar mayor de la Parroquia de San Joaquín podemos ver esta Pila Bautismal realizada en mármol rojo.
"El inmueble se encuentra ubicado en pleno centro urbano, entre las calles Mesones, callejón de los Frailes y la plaza denominada Esquina del Convento.
El Convento, hoy parroquia de San Joaquín, fue construido por los frailes franciscanos y los propios vecinos de Cieza entre finales del siglo XVII y principios del XVIII. La fundación de este convento se debe a los sangrientos bandos que asolaron Cieza en el siglo XVII, a los que la comunidad franciscana combatió hasta el punto de lograr su desaparición.
El convento está en vías de restauración para su próximo uso como nueva Biblioteca Municipal Padre Salmerón, a cuya función se unirá el uso del antiguo claustro como sala de exposiciones temporales y el de su aljibe como sala de conferencias. La iglesia se puede visitar en horario de culto.
Titularidad: Diócesis de Cartagena y Ayuntamiento de Cieza.

On the right side of the main altar of the San Joaquín Parish we can see this Baptismal Font made of red marble.
"The property is located in the heart of the urban center, between Mesones streets, Callejo de los Frailes and the square called Esquina del Convento.
The Convent, today the parish of San Joaquín, was built by the Franciscan friars and the residents of Cieza between the end of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. The founding of this convent is due to the bloody factions that devastated Cieza in the 17th century, which the Franciscan community fought to the point of its disappearance.
The convent is being restored for its next use as the new Padre Salmerón Municipal Library, to whose function will be added the use of the old cloister as a temporary exhibition room and its cistern as a conference room. The church can be visited during worship hours.
