The foundations of the Villa Kronenburg date back to 1670 and have a long and eventful history:
Family-run hotel (ca. 1995 - today)
"Since its complete renovation in 1995, the Villa Kronenburg has offered contemporary hotel comfort in a historic ambience.
Over the years, rooms have been combined and thus enlarged. Each room is unique in its individual and loving design.
With every measure, we ensure that the original, romantic character of the house is preserved.
If you look at paintings by students of the painting school, you can still recognize many of the details.
The time of the Eifelverein: The Eifelhaus (approx. 1955 - 1995)
The house still proudly bears the name "Eifelhaus" on the wall."

It is registered in the list of monuments of the municipality of Dahlem under the number 36 (
visit link) and the description reads:
"In the course of the closed, rear defensive wall extensions, eaves-standing, two-storey, on the first floor five-, on the upper floor four-axis, plastered quarry stone house with slate hipped roof; the entrance in the central axis and the window openings with sandstone walls; interior work around 1937; the rear (= former curtain wall) with large studio window.
Inscription dated on the lintel (renewed by Werner Peiner in 1937): P.D. 1793 W.P. 1937"
