The Goerke House, also known as the Magistrate House was build for Hans Goerke, who came to Namibia as an official and later started a business involving diamond mining.
The building is an interesting example of German colonial architecture with plenty of details, including a beautiful sundial.
As to the paint, it's on display in the small town museum, open just for a couple of hours every afternoon. It's part of a wider collection from the same artist, all depicting architectural highlights of Luderitz and its region.
