"On Santa Bárbara Street, in front of the bell tower of the parish church of the Virgin Mary of the Assumption, is the Montesa Parish Museum; recognized as a permanent museum collection by the Generalitat Valenciana for its notable pictorial and sculptural collection.
The building that houses the museum is a construction built at the beginning of the 17th century, with a voussoir ashlar door, which was the home of the sots-clauer of the order of Montesa during the first half of the 18th century. On the ground floor, architectural elements mostly from the Castle are displayed, such as an interesting gargoyle, capitals and the top of an arch with an angel holding the shield of the Order of Montesa.

The first floor is dedicated to the exhibition of paintings that the parish owned, but that were not intended for worship, highlighting among others, The Crucifixion of Saint Peter and The Immaculate Conception, as well as a showcase where dishes for the extreme unction are displayed. We will also find several engravings, highlighting two engravings of the Virgin Mary of Montesa by Joaquim Ballester. On the walls of the anteroom hang seven portraits of the members of the order of Montesa from the 18th and 19th centuries".
