Tepeyac Hill is a recreation of the hill in Mexico where Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego on Dec. 12, 1531. It includes statues of the Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego. The winding sidewalk surrounding the 50 ft tall hill is lined with Oklahoma native plants. Both statues were created by Georgina Farías Nicolópolus, an artist based in Mexico City, Mexico.
