Local artist and shop teacher at the high school, Daniel Tafoya, designed and placed these wings. Concept work began on the wings in 2021 and placement was late 2022. The wings are metal, shimmering and reflecting the sunshine and park trees. The wings are approximately 20 feet across - tip to tip. Mounted to the block building that makes up the NW wall of the Standin' on the Corner park, they are a 'sight to see'.
The park is dedicated to the Eagles song "Take it Easy" and most objects in the park are representative of something from that song.
