This U.S. Benchmark, a metal rod in a sleeve with a cover, is just east of Highway 81 on the north side of Reding Road. The benchmark is just northwest of a utility pole, near a fenceline. The area was overgrown on the day of my visit but the witness post was easy to find. The outer ring of the sleeve is stamped with the designation S 214 and the year 1986.
