Giza is most famous as the location of the Giza Plateau: the site of some of the most impressive ancient monuments in the world, including a complex of ancient Egyptian royal mortuary and sacred structures, including the Great Sphinx, the Great Pyramid of Giza also known as the Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Kephren and the Pyramid of Mykerinus.
The Pyramids of Giza are open from 7 am to 6 pm from April to September and from 8 am to 4 pm from October to March.
