History of the Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum
2002: Bobblehead collection starts when Brad starts getting bobbleheads as a member of the Rockford RiverHawks’ staff.
2012: Personal collection expands to over 500 bobbleheads including bobbles from all sports and from across the U.S.
August 2013: Phil and Brad develop a bobblehead of their friend, Michael Poll, a long-time manager for Milwaukee Panther athletic teams and Special Olympian. All proceeds from the sale of the bobbleheads benefit Special Olympics (www.michaelbobbles.com).
March 2014: Personal collection expands to well over 1,000 bobbleheads.
May 2014: Concept for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum developed by Phil and Brad, largely based on the amazing experience with the Michael Poll bobbleheads and the desire to pursue something they are passionate about. Recent University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate, Jessica Listwan, creates the iconic logo.
June 2014: National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum website launched on trial basis and first Members join.
August 2014: Recent UWM Architecture graduate, Andre Rosteing, creates the initial renderings for the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
September 2014: Personal collection expands to nearly 3,000 bobbleheads as many teams and organizations contribute b
obbleheads to be included in the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
November 18, 2014: The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is officially announced with the Hall of Fame and Museum anticipated to open in 2016.
May 1, 2015: Preview Exhibition at RedLine Milwaukee announced.
December 2015: Collection grows to over 5,000 unique bobbleheads, thanks in large part to donations from fans, collectors and teams across the world.
January-April 2016: Preview Exhibit held at RedLine Milwaukee featuring over 2,000 unique bobbleheads.
November 2017: Permanent location at 170 S. 1st St. announced.
2018: Set-up and sprinkler system installation. The Hall of Fame and Museum houses over 6,500 unique bobbleheads, a store and dozens of exhibits related to bobbleheads.
January 6-7, 2019: Member preview.
February 1, 2019: Opened to the general public.
