" La chiesa dedicata all’Assunta e ubicata in via Di Sesto, esistente già dal XV secolo, viene ricostruita per la prima volta nel secolo XVII con campanile annesso. La stessa torre campanaria subirà ulteriori rifacimenti nel 1864-66, con anche l’aggiunta dell’orologio nel 1936. Questo primo edificio misurava 25 x 7 metri, compresi il presbiterio e il coro, dotato di battistero e di un interno a volto con tre altari: oltre a quello maggiore, vi erano quelli dedicati alla Madonna del Rosario e a Sant’Antonio di Padova, a cui se ne aggiunse un quarto in onore della Madonna della Neve. Tuttavia il seicentesco appena descritto non è quello giunto fino a noi, poiché è crollato in seguito ai danni provocati dalla seconda guerra mondiale e tutto ciò che attualmente rimane della vecchia chiesa, altro non sono che gli ovali in legno dei Misteri del Rosario. L’attuale edificio viene nuovamente eretto nel 1954 su disegno dell’architetto Cosentino che prevede anche la costruzione del campanile, collocato sulla sinistra, vicino all’abside, dotato di guglia con croce luminosa e di tre campane. I tre altari che vi erano inizialmente sono stati eliminati durante i lavori di ricostruzione, nel corso dei quali è stato rifatto anche il pavimento. Dietro l’altare maggiore, sulla parete di fondo, è posta la ceramica raffigurante la Madonna Assunta, mentre altre statue sono intitolate alla Madonna del Rosario e alla Vergine Addolorata. Interessanti la via crucis in ceramica, il Crocifisso in legno e il mosaico che decora l’altare maggiore e il battistero." (

Die Mariä Himmelfahrt geweihte Kirche in der Sesto-Straße besteht seit dem 15. Jahrhundert und wurde im 17. Jahrhundert erstmals mit einem angrenzenden Glockenturm umgebaut. Der Glockenturm selbst wurde in den Jahren 1864–66 erneut renoviert und 1936 mit der Hinzufügung einer Uhr versehen. Dieses erste Gebäude hatte eine Größe von 25 x 7 Metern, einschließlich des Presbyteriums und des Chors, ausgestattet mit einer Taufkapelle und einem gewölbten Innenraum mit drei Altären: in Neben der Hauptkirche gab es noch weitere, die der Madonna del Rosario und Sant'Antonio di Padova gewidmet waren, und zu denen noch eine vierte zu Ehren der Madonna della Neve hinzukam. Das soeben beschriebene Gebäude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert ist jedoch nicht dasjenige, das uns überliefert ist, da es aufgrund der Schäden durch den Zweiten Weltkrieg eingestürzt ist und von der alten Kirche heute nur noch die hölzernen Ovale der Kirche übrig sind Geheimnisse des Rosenkranzes. Das heutige Gebäude wurde 1954 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Cosentino wieder errichtet, der auch den Bau des Glockenturms auf der linken Seite in der Nähe der Apsis vorsah, der mit einer Turmspitze mit einem leuchtenden Kreuz und drei Glocken ausgestattet war. Die ursprünglich dort vorhandenen drei Altäre wurden im Zuge der Umbauarbeiten entfernt, bei denen auch der Boden erneuert wurde. Hinter dem Hauptaltar, an der Rückwand, befindet sich die Keramik mit der Darstellung der Madonna Assunta, während weitere Statuen der Madonna del Rosario und der Jungfrau der Schmerzen gewidmet sind. Interessant sind die Via Crucis aus Keramik, das hölzerne Kruzifix und das Mosaik, das den Hauptaltar und das Baptisterium schmückt.

The church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Sesto Street has existed since the 15th century and was first rebuilt in the 17th century with an adjacent bell tower. The bell tower itself was renovated again in 1864–66 and in 1936 with the addition of a clock. This first building measured 25 x 7 metres, including the presbytery and choir, equipped with a baptistery and a vaulted interior with three altars: in addition to the main church, there were others dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario and Sant'Antonio di Padova, to which was added a fourth in honour of the Madonna della Neve. The 17th-century building just described is not, however, the one that has come down to us, as it collapsed due to the damage caused by the Second World War and all that remains of the old church today are the wooden ovals of the Mysteries of the Rosary. The current building was rebuilt in 1954 to a design by the architect Cosentino, who also planned the construction of the bell tower on the left side, near the apse, with a spire with a luminous cross and three bells. The three altars that were originally there were removed during the renovation work, which also included the renovation of the floor. Behind the main altar, on the back wall, is the ceramic depicting the Madonna Assunta, while other statues are dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario and the Virgin of Sorrows. Of interest are the ceramic Via Crucis, the wooden crucifix and the mosaic that decorates the main altar and the baptistery.
