This converted fountain was provided by the Woman's Christian Temperance Union in 1914 and was originally located in front of the old post office. Today the fountain is a planter with a variety of plants and flowers. The fountain is a green colour with pockets on three side that caught water from the lions on each side.
Nearby is a modern water fountain.
PLAQUE TEXT:
"In 1914 the local Woman's Christian Temperance Union (1891 - 1964)
donated this public drinking fountain to the Town of Bracebridge
for use by both citizens and animals.
The fountain originally stood near the post office,
which was then located at Manitoba Street and Taylor Road.
In 1988 the fountain was moved to its present location.
Restoration was completed by the Town in 2010.
