I've been told that you need to call in advance in order to get access to the Navy Yard. When I arrived at the gate, I just stated that I wanted to visit the naval museum. I was asked to produce a photo I.D. and then was given directions to the museum and parking.
When you enter the museum there are 2 presses located to your right near the enterance of the gift shop.
There is no charge to go to the gift shop and the museum asks for a 2 dollar donation if you decide to tour the building.
The designs are:
1.(V) An image of a Navy man (1 of 2) with the "The Navy Museum" along the top
2.(V) An image of a Navy man (2 of 2) with the "The Navy Museum" along the top
3.(H) An image of an airplane with "The Navy Museum" along the top
4.(H) Image of a cannon with "The Navy Museum" on the left
The address is:
Washington Navy Yard
Building 76
805 Kidder Breese SE
Washington, DC 20374-5060
The hours are:
