IGA Time Capsule - Kojonup, WA, Australia - Time Capsules on Waymarking.com

The local grocery store used to be Foodland, and now an IGA outlet. As my younger son and his fiancé and myself were exiting the store from buying some supplies on our way to Albany I noticed the unusual placement of a Time Capsule, and confused my son by stopping to grab a couple of photos of something that normally would NOT be on display in such a market. On a charcoal-grey painted brick wall INSIDE the store is a laminated sign, below a red toolbox on an elevated simple wood shelf held with metal brackets, is the red TOOL BOX, with '2003§2053' stenciled on it. The sign reads:

 Time Capsule 2003 - 2053

In 2002, this shop, called Kojonup Supermarket or Foodland
was extended and renovated. Mindful of the site's historical
past, the manager, Mr Peter Rogers encouraged the Kojonup
Historical Society to create a Community Time Capsule.  
The tool box (above) was sealed in July 2003 and is due to
be opened in the year 2053.
