"The parish temple of San Lorenzo belongs to a type of architecture representative of the fusion of the neoclassical style with baroque elements.
It presents an original scheme of a central plan formed by six ellipses that converge in the central one, of larger proportions, covered by a dome and topped by a lantern.

Highlight the bell towers and the dome lantern, beautifully plastered in blue and white.
The beauty of this church lies in the harmony of its plan and elevation, and in its simplicity and elegance.

The designs of the temple are by the Madrid architect, Director of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and great innovator of our architecture, Ventura Rodríguez. This same architect would also provide designs for the top of the Cathedral tower, at the end of the 18th century.
The temple of San Lorenzo bears great similarity to the church of San Marcos in Madrid, by the same author, which happens to be one of his most original works."
