"El Pont Trencat está situado en la entrada de la villa de Sant Celoni desde Barcelona, ??junto a la carretera comarcal. Se levanta sobre la Tordera en la zona que hace de límite entre los términos de Sant Celoni y Santa Maria de Palautordera , y atravesaba el río siguiendo el trazado de la antigua vía Augusta romana y el camino real medieval. Se trata de un puente de estilo gótico que se construyó en la época medieval, entre los siglos xiv y xv . Originariamente tenía dos ojos con arcadas apuntadas, pero sólo conserva uno, construido a conciencia con sillares de piedra, que pertenece a Palautordera. El resto se destruyó durante la Guerra de la Independencia en febrero de 1811, en la batalla de la Tordera, por orden del general Obispo y con el objetivo de asegurar la retirada y dificultar el paso de las tropas napoleónicas. La carretera se quedó sin puente hasta que se construyó el puente de la Reina, llamado así porque tenía una placa con la inscripción "Reinando Dª Isabel 2ª. Año de 1866". Éste último se conoce popularmente como puente de la Sila o de la Cantina , y actualmente sirve para acceder a Olzinelles .
La referencia documental más antigua que tenemos del Puente Roto es de 1453. Entonces, como estaba en mal estado, la reina María , esposa de Alfonso el Magnánimo , concedió permiso a los jurados y síndicos de Sant Celoni para reedificarlo y cobrar los derechos de puente para sufragar los gastos de la reparación y conservación del puente . derogara durante unos años, se recuperó en 1457, y en 1471 Juan II lo prorrogó por veinte años más."
