"Se trata de un bello puente gótico construido entre los siglos XIV y XV que permite atravesar el río Tordera siguiendo la antigua Vía Augusta o Camí Ral.
En 1811, durante la Guerra del Francés, fue destruida una de sus arcadas con el fin de dificultar el paso de las tropas napoleónicas invasoras.
No fue hasta el 2003 cuando el puente gótico se restauró y completó con una estructura metálica de acero que evoca la forma original. La nueva estructura del puente fue diseñada por el ingeniero Xavier Font, que ha sido objeto de prestigiosos premios nacionales e internacionales. Las obras han servido también para volver a comunicar las dos orillas de la Tordera, así como los pueblos de Santa Maria de Palautordera y Sant Celoni."

"It is a beautiful Gothic bridge built between the 14th and 15th centuries that allows you to cross the Tordera River following the old Vía Augusta or Camí Ral.
In 1811, during the French War, one of its arches was destroyed in order to make the passage of the invading Napoleonic troops difficult.
It was not until 2003 when the Gothic bridge was restored and completed with a metal steel structure reminiscent of the original form. The new bridge structure was designed by engineer Xavier Font, who has been the subject of prestigious national and international awards. The works have also served to reconnect the two banks of the Tordera, as well as the towns of Santa Maria de Palautordera and Sant Celoni."
