"La Casa Manuel Arnús o el Pinar es un edificio modernista situado en la calle del mismo nombre de Barcelona , ??al pie del funicular del Tibidabo , catalogado como bien cultural de interés local . Actualmente es la sede de la Fundación Asepeyo .
Fue proyectado en 1904 por el arquitecto Enric Sagnier para el médico Manuel Arnús i Fortuny (1852-1930), sobrino de Evarist Arnús y de Ferrer . El nombre del Pinar hace referencia al bosque que rodea la casa, que Sagnier respetó.
Durante la Guerra Civil española acogió a refugiados y después quedó abandonado y se estropearon tanto el interior como el exterior. Más tarde pasó a manos de la comunidad religiosa Hijas de la Caridad de San Vicente de Paúl .
En 1976 fue adquirido por la Fundación Asepeyo , que encargó su restauración al arquitecto Josep Maria Armengou i Vives, terminada en 1991.
Concebido inicialmente como vivienda unifamiliar aislada, es un edificio de considerables dimensiones rodeado por un pinar ajardinado con paramentos de rocalla. La finca está limitada por un sólido muro al que se adosa la casa destinada a portería.
El inmueble tiene el aspecto de palacio-castillo. Formado por un cuerpo central de planta de cruz con cuatro alas cubiertas a dos vertientes y revestidas de baldosas. Tiene también varios cuerpos con cubierta plana adosados ??entre las alas, así como dos torres (una cuadrada con tejado piramidal y la otra octogonal y almenada, rematada por una cubierta cónica). En su interior hay una noble escalinata a la derecha del espacioso vestíbulo que da acceso a la planta superior. También dispone de una pequeña capilla para el culto. "

It also has several bodies with a flat roof attached between the wings, as well as two towers (one square with a pyramidal roof and the other octagonal and crenellated, topped by a conical roof). Inside there is a noble staircase to the right of the spacious hall that gives access to the upper floor. It also has a small chapel for worship. "
