What was originally known as Pacific Bell Park opened in 2000 to great fanfare. For forty years the Giants had played in the frigid wind tunnel known as Candlestick Park. Now, they had a home that had everything Candlestick lacked: intimate seating, good sightlines, luxury boxes, and a prime downtown location. And, most importantly, it was designed to be shielded from the wind and other unpleasant elements. The stunning views of the bay were just an added bonus. The only real problem is the lack of parking. During the 30 seconds that it took to take a pic and get coords I had someone threatening to tow my car. I have used mass transit for every game that I have attended here.
