The Holmes Park Dog Run, operated by the City of Lincoln park system, is a great place for dogs and their people. The nearly four acre gently rolling area includes a small creek, which often holds enough water for swimming, footbridges, groves of cedar trees and wide open grassy spaces. A paved path winds through the area and there are mowed paths and small trails all over. The area is very well maintained. There are picnic tables and porta potties for the people and poop bags and bins for the dogs. And the dogs can help their owners find two geocaches here. GC1DBAX, Dogs Rule, is located in the run, and GC56BE, Going to the Dogs, which is near the parking lot (dogs really should be leased to find this one).
