At over 200 ft. tall, Stewart Falls is one of the more scenic and photographed waterfalls in northern Utah. It is reached by a 1.8 mile trail that starts from the Aspen Grove parking area off UT route 92. Route 92 is also known as the Alpine Scenic Loop which is closed during the winter months, but the section from US 189 to the parking area is kept open year round.
The trail passes through wooded areas and some open meadows. It is generally easy but gets a little dicey toward the end when it descends to the base of the falls. This is especially true in the spring when mist from the falls makes the trail slippery. This hike is very popular so you’re not likely to be alone, especially on the weekends.
