DPMT stands for “Visor del Dominio Público Marítimo y Terrestre”, the state beach zone. It is public property and gives every Spaniard access to the sea. M-025 is the number of the stone, they are numbered consecutively. I am not aware of any further information.


The village/city/place
„Sopela (Spanish and until 2013 officially Sopelana) is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia in the northern Spanish Basque Country. Sopela has a population of 14,635 people (as of 2022) and covers an area of 8.39 square kilometers. The municipality forms a suburb of Bilbao and is connected to the Bilbao metro. Since the late 1980s, the population of Sopela has continued to grow. During industrialization, citizens moved to the urban centers, which were more populated, but this trend has been reversed in recent decades. Sopela has become a residential municipality that is well connected with the larger municipalities and with Bilbao. In the beginning, it was an eminently tourist destination, where land and house owners only moved for summer vacations. It is one of the municipalities with the highest per capita income in the state. …“
