"It is the templete de San Luis, an arch that gave access at the beginning of the last century to one of the first subway lines in Madrid at the metro stop of the San Luis network that connected north and south of the city. It was the first metro line in the city.

The architect who was in charge of designing the great arch that nowadays is in the Campo da Feira de O Porriño was none other than Antonio Palacios, a professional who lived in the capital, but was born in Porriño. His work dates back to 1919, since the subway line to which this great gateway gave access kept the arch in operation from the 1920s until 1970."
