"Robert "Bob" Sterling Bierer, 78, Warrenton, formerly of Wright City, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at his home.

"He was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Belleville, Ill., the son of Fred Arthur Bierer and wife Emma, nee Pulse. Robert was united in marriage to Loretta Marten Sept. 6, 1957. He owned Bob's Auto Repair, Wright City, for over 25 years. Cars were his hobby! Robert loved fishing, demolition derbies, playing cards and dominoes, reading the papers and a cold glass of Busch beer. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

"He is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Bierer, Warrenton; three daughters, Jackie (Roger) Nierman, Wright City, Christine (Tim) Staelens, Columbia, and Karen M. (Bob) Gentry, Warrenton; two grandsons, Brad Nierman, Wright City, and Alexander Staelens, Columbia; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Garrett) Walker, Columbia; one sister, Dorothy Theismann, St. Libory, Ill.; three brothers, Steve Bierer, Bullshols, Ark., Arthur (Darlene) Bierer and Curtis Bierer, all of Frazier Park, Calif.; two brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ken and Neah Marten, Del Valle, Texas, and Larry and Sharon Marten, St. Peters; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
