"Iglesia de San Agustín (en maltés: il-Knisja ta' Santu Wistin) es una de las iglesias construidas durante la creación de la nueva ciudad de Valletta, la capital de Malta.

La primera piedra se colocó en 1571 según el plan y la dirección de Girolamo Cassar, arquitecto de la Orden de Malta. La iglesia fue reconstruida en 1765 según un plan de Giuseppe Bonici.

La iglesia actual fue consagrada por Giovanni Maria Camilleri el 1 de julio de 1906.

La iglesia es famosa por la estatua de Santa Rita, cuya fiesta se celebra en mayo con una procesión con su estatua por las calles de La Valeta.

El edificio de la iglesia figura en el Inventario Nacional de Bienes Culturales de las Islas Maltesas.

Su órgano de tubos fue construido por la empresa italiana Mascioni y se caracteriza por sus características tonales.[1]? Robert Buhagiar revisó el instrumento en 2010."

Double bell tower with a square base and a semicircular arch opening on each side. Inside, we find three bells per tower.

"The Church of St. Augustine (Maltese: il-Knisja ta' Santu Wistin) is one of the churches built during the creation of the new city of Valletta, the capital of Malta.

The foundation stone was laid in 1571 according to the plan and direction of Girolamo Cassar, architect of the Order of Malta. The church was rebuilt in 1765 according to a plan by Giuseppe Bonici.

The current church was consecrated by Giovanni Maria Camilleri on July 1, 1906.

The church is famous for its statue of Saint Rita, whose feast day is celebrated in May with a procession with her statue through the streets of Valletta.

The church building is listed in the National Inventory of Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands.

Its pipe organ was built by the Italian firm Mascioni and is characterized by its characteristic tonal characteristics.[1] Robert Buhagiar inspected the instrument in 2010."
