Een leuk en gezellig B&B in een oud schip, gebouwd in België in 1940 was de Vita Nova een motorvrachtschip, een zogenaamde spits. Het schip is met opzet in specifieke afmetingen gebouwd om te kunnen varen over de kanalen en door de sluizen in België en Frankrijk. De Vita Nova deed in de periode dat ze dienst deed als vrachtschip meerdere keren in Amersfoort geweest. Sinds 2010 is er een Bed & Breakfast in het schip gevestigd. Hoe bijzonder.
Aan boord zijn vijf scheepshutten en het vooronder. In het scheepsruim wordt het ontbijt geserveeerd en is er ruimte voor ontspanning.
A charming B&B in an old ship, built in Belgium in 1940, the Vita Nova was a motor cargo ship, known as a spits. The ship was deliberately built to specific dimensions so that it could sail through the canals and locks in Belgium and France. During its time as a cargo ship, the Vita Nova moored in Amersfoort several times. Since 2010, the ship has been home to a Bed & Breakfast. How unique.
On board are five ship's cabins and the forecastle. Breakfast is served in the ship's hold, which also offers space for relaxation.
