About Eleonora:
"Eleonora, daughter of the English King Edward II, born in 1318 in Woodstock, died in 1355 in Deventer. She came to Nijmegen in 1332 to marry Reinald II, Duke of Guelders. In 1343, she became a widow and regent of her two sons. Eleanor's life is a remarkable yet tragic story. In her final years, she lived in Deventer and made the construction of the Broederenkerk possible. In 1355, she died, only 37 years old, in the Hanseatic city of Deventer and was buried in this church. Her gravestone is still there!"
