This 4th Street SW store is one of two Calgary locations for Blaze Pizza (as of 2025). The store opened in 2016. It is located opposite the historic Tivoli Theatre building.
Blaze Pizza is a fast casual pizza chain with the slogan "Fast. Fire'd". This refers to the fact that their pizzas are cooked by fire very quickly in a hearth oven. The apostrophe in "fire'd" is used in an uncoventional way, for emphasis. It does not mean that any letters have been omitted (eg. to be short for "firewood" or "fireweed"). They also claim that their pizzas are "fully customizable", but it isn't clear to me how that differs from the standard "Build your own pizza" section of the menu that many pizza places have had for decades.
