[ENG] The fish - carp on the shield refers to the fishery - one of the main branch of the economy of local residents. Lakes that are nearby provids the inhabitants with fish. There is no explanation for two yellow dots in the coat of arms. One hypothesis says that are two cannonballs symbolises the battle of Górzno in 16th century, but they are known in the coat of arms in 15th century. Another one says that there might be two lakes (Gorznienskie and Mlynskie). But rules of blazon don't connect green and blue colors. The last conception say that they are nail heads with which the coat of arms was nailed to the wall of city hall. But.. do you also hang important painting in your house like this?
[POL] Ryba – karp na tarczy nawiazuje do rybolówstwa – jednej z glównych galezi gospodarki tutejszej ludnosci. Pobliskie jeziora zaopatruja mieszkanców w ryby. Nie ma wyjasnienia dwóch zóltych kropek w herbie. Jedna z hipotez glosi, ze dwie kule armatnie symbolizuja bitwe pod Górznem w XVI wieku, ale sa one widoczne w herbie juz w XV wieku. Inna hipoteza glosi, ze mogly istniec dwa jeziora (Gorznienskie i Mlynskie). Jednak zasady herbu nie lacza kolorów zielonego i niebieskiego. Ostatnia koncepcja glosi, ze sa to glówki gwozdzi, którymi herb zostal przybity do sciany ratusza. Ale… czy tez wieszasz w taki sposób wazny obraz w swoim domu?
