The marker reads:
"From the 1920s onward, Coolidge Corner has been the hub of Brookline's Jewish community, a center of social activities, synagogues, schools and other institutions, and the home of flourishing businesses, including Jewish bookstores, kosher butchers, restaurants and bakeries. The S. S. Pierce Building, designed at the end of the 19th century, is a neighborhood landmark."
The building is a Tudor-style building, currently home to a Walgreens and other stores, crowned with a large clock tower.
